Tooling, Dies, and Prototype Production

Clow designs and builds tooling in-house to speed launches and stabilize quality. The department supports custom tool and die design, tooling design and manufacturing, and precision tooling and prototyping for prototype manufacturing for metal parts through to production.

What You Get

  • Custom tooling for single stage, progressive, compound, and secondary operations
  • Advanced prototyping for manufacturers that validates manufacturability and cost targets
  • A streamlined tooling process that shortens iterations and protects part intent
  • CAD/CAM integration and EDM for tight die features
A CNC milling machine uses a rotating cutting tool to precisely machine a metal workpiece secured in a Kurt vise, with coolant hoses directing fluid toward the tool—ideal for In-House Tooling and Prototyping applications.

Why It Matters

Tooling built and maintained in-house enables quick changeovers, faster repairs, and consistent results for custom stamped metal components and assemblies.
